Dr. Ingrid Roberts-Terrell Memorial Scholarship

The endowed Dr. Ingrid Roberts-Terrell Memorial Scholarship annually supports Health Equity, Diversity, and Access to Education and Care for the Vulnerable to fuel the financial support and opportunity for one WesternU Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) student to achieve their dreams in nursing. Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be considered for the scholarship:
• Be a current WesternU DNP student in good academic standing
• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater at the application deadline
• Submit one (1) letter of recommendation (Professional or Academic)
• Submit a short essay in response to each of the following three (3) prompts:
1. Describe your academic and career goals or experiences relative to engagement with vulnerable populations, including details of 1-2 personally or professionally impactful experiences. (Word count limit: 250)
2. Share past contributions in advocating for the vulnerable in one or more of the following areas: social justice, health equity, diversity, and access to education and care. (Word count limit: 125)
3. How will the Doctor of Nursing Practice degree influence your future role and contributions in the care and advocacy of the vulnerable? (Word count limit: 125)
