DNPA Scholarship
In honor of Dr. Jan Boller, the DNPA Scholarship is given to a second year or continuing DNP student. Student must be in good academic standing, must have a 3.5 GPA or higher, must demonstrate active participation through attendance of 4 annual DNPA meetings, must participate in two community/extracurricular activities coordinated by the Doctor of Nursing Practice Association. One or more awards are available. Award recipients can be awarded between $500 and $3,000 dollars.
A second-year or third year DNP student since in good academic standing. Must have an overall GPA of 3.5 to qualify.
Active member of the DNPA.
Demonstrate active participation through attendance of 4 annual meetings of the DNPA.
Must participate or coordinate two (2) community/extracurricular activities coordinated by the DNPA Board Members.
Submit two (2) recent (within the past 6 months) letters of reference.
Write a 400-500 word essay on “How the DNPA contributes to the WesternU humanism philosophy and address the leadership role of the DNP scholar”.
Displays at minimum 2/5 AONE competency dimensions: Communications and Relationship Management, Professionalism, Leadership, Knowledge of Health Care Environment, & Business Skills & Principles
PLEASE NOTE: Scholarships are application-based and contingent upon meeting established eligibility requirements. Applicants who do not meet the minimum criteria shall not be considered, and no scholarship shall be awarded.
