Dr. Lawrence F. Gosenfeld Scholarship
The Dr. Lawrence F. Gosenfeld Scholarship is named in honor of Lawrence Gosenfeld, DO. Dr. Gosenfeld came from humble beginnings, put himself through osteopathic medical school with financial assistance, and dedicated his life to serving others at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in West Los Angeles, California. He taught Psychiatry for many years at WesternU.
In gratitude for the assistance he received as a student, Dr. Gosenfeld’s generous donation will help outstanding students with similar financial need. Recipients are known as Gosenfeld Scholars.
Eligible students are in their first, second, or third year of medical school, and have not received this award previously.

Any use of AI-generated material will be considered a violation of academic honesty policies and may result in disqualification of award application.
