Spencer B. Gilbert, MD, Pathology Award

The Spencer Gilbert Pathology Clinical Chair Award was established in 2006 and is presented to a graduating COMP student who exhibits great promise in the field of Pathology. Dr. Spencer Gilbert joined the Department of Pathology at WesternU in the early 1990s. He was well known as an exceptional renal pathologist, but enjoyed lecturing on a variety of topics. He will always be remembered by those who knew him personally, as well as future students who have only known him through his generous Gilbert Foundation.
