Vicki Dyson Memorial Scholarship

GRADUATE and HONORS & RECOGNITION AWARD
Vicki E. Dyson (1937-1990) put her heart and soul into her role as the American Academy of Osteopathy’s executive director. She truly loved her job and all the people that made up the Academy. She took great pride in serving every individual with whom she came in contact and was very proud of her association with the osteopathic profession. She was a special and caring person who touched lives in many wonderful ways.

The Vicki Dyson Memorial Scholarship was established by Dr. V. Gladys Shutt (aka “Dr. Glad”) in 1990. One award is presented annually to a COMP (Pomona) student in good academic standing, who is a member of SAAO and has completed an elective OMM rotation.

Please limit your applications to a maximum of three Graduate Awards and three Honors & Recognition Awards. Applications exceeding these limits will not be considered.

Please include specific experiences or examples that were particularly meaningful to your development as an osteopathic physician. (A 300-word essay is about half a page single-spaced or one full page double-spaced using a standard 12-point font like Times New Roman with 1-inch margins.)
