Dr. Sam Shimomura Scholarship Endowment

The Dr. Sam Shimomura Scholarship Endowment has provided scholarship funds to the College of Pharmacy for the Dr. Sam Shimomura Scholarship. The scholarship recognizes a WesternU student pharmacist who has an interest in health-system and/or geriatric practice and has shown leadership in professional organizations such as ASHP, CSHP and ASCP. One (1) $1,000 scholarship is available.

Criteria: The following are the criteria established by the Scholarship Recognition and Awards Committee using information provided by Dr. Sam Shimomura. Applicants must be a student in the College of Pharmacy who:
1) currently a P2, P3 or P4 student
2) interested in health-system and/or geriatric pharmacy practice
3) evidence of professional organization involvement
4) in good academic standing
5) previous recipients are not eligible
